Congratulations to the Reds who defeated the Indians 13-0 to win the best-of-three LL Boys Tournament Championship. The Reds, coached by Arlan Ecklund, Kent Hollrah, Don Lyons and Jeremy Williams, also won the regular season pennant finishing 11-1. In the Senior League Boys it was the Jaycees, coached by Bob Sanderson and Chris Eller winning the regular season undefeated and beating the VFW 17-0 in the Tournament Championship. The LL Girls season champs were the Royals, coached by Dan Dotzler, Rick Torres, Mike Fineran and Kelli Houston. In the LL Girls Tournament Championship the Phillies, coached by Larry Pieper, Bob Townshend and Tom Hamilton, beat The Irish 10-5. This was the fourth straight year these two teams have met in the championship game. My vote for most improved team this season would likely go to the Cubs and I'll always wonder how far the Yellowjackets would have gone before losing their pitcher for the season. Continue to get better Chelsey and we'll see you on the mound next season! The Senior League Girls team, the Cougars coached by Tom Alesch and Laura Beeck, finished 2nd in the WIGSL and also getting 2nd in the tournament losing to Missouri Valley.         T.H.
